Video Camera Security System

At KDS we like to install what are considered "Dome Cameras"

Dome Cameras are great it many ways...they can be installed on a ceiling or wall...

...there are several models; able to accommodate a variety of applications...

...and in general are more vandal resistant.

The cameras capture digital video, which is stored on a "DVR" (left). The DVR records the video and stores up to a months worth of data. This video data can then be viewed by simply entering the time & date.

The greatest feature about these DVR's is their ability to be hooked into your internet service and YOU can view what's going on, from anywhere in the world, via any computer with internet !

* note: a DSL (high speed) internet connection is needed at the camera site to enable "off site viewing".

A monitor is also part of a video camera security system.

If you need one or more cameras, the "DVR" can split the monitor screen so all cameras are viewing...or just one.

*note: regardless of which cameras are viewing...all cameras are still set to record...(cameras record automatically, when they see movement).

To finish off a video system KDS recommends a back-up power supply.

Not only to maintain system function during a power failure; but also to protect your "DVR" from power surges (this is very important in ensuring a maintenance free system).

*note: a custom power supply may be recommended for the cameras.
